Main Street Arkansas is hosting a free workshop on Thursday, October 24, 2024, for communities interested in applying to the 2025 program or learning about improving their downtown areas. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Arkansas Heritage Building in Little Rock, with lunch provided.

Lisa Thompson, from Main Street America, will lead the event, explaining how communities can use the Main Street Four-Point Approach™. This approach focuses on organization, promotion, design, and economic vitality to help restore historic downtown districts.

Main Street Arkansas provides support to communities wanting to protect and grow their downtown areas. The program helps towns strengthen their economies while preserving historic buildings.

Main Street America has been working on downtown revitalization since 1980. Over the years, it has helped generate over $101 billion in investments and created more than 782,000 jobs across the U.S.
