DeKalb’s Oktoberfest 2024 is Coming Up on Saturday 10/5
The first weekend of October is almost here and that means it's time for Oktoberfest '24 in DeKalb, Texas. Who's ready for a parade and some mutton bustin' and much more?
That's right Oktoberfest is back in DeKalb and it's time to check out what is on the agenda for Saturday, October 5:
- 6 AM: Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Department on Cobb Burkett Lane.
- 8 AM: 4 PM - Vendors will be set up on Runnels and Bowie Street.
- 10 AM: Oktoberfest '24 Parade on Hwy 82
- Right after the parade, the Quilt Show opens inside the Reed Building
- Kids Game and Face Painting in the Telford Building
- Beans and Cornbread / Pumpkin Decorating Contest inside the Williams House
- 11:30 AM - 1 PM: Cakewalk - slap in the middle Runnels St
- 12 PM - 2 PM: Bingo in the Storm Shelter
- 12 PM - 4 PM: Backyard Jam: local music in front of the old State Theater/Hawkins Insurance
Set up the kids for some Mutton Bustin', Pictures on Longhorns from Ridehard Entertainment are scheduled for 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
The Dunking Booth, Youth Games, and Mechanical Bull Riding are ongoing from 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
- 5:30 PM: Don't miss the Oktoberfest Show, I Dream of Music, inside the High School Gym / Auditorium.
7:30 - 10 PM: They cap off the day and night with a concert from Heather Linn and the Deacons, plus food vendors on Runnels St.
