Harvest Regional Food Bank Seeking Volunteers and Donations to Continue Helping the Community

The Harvest Regional Food Bank is seeking volunteers and donations to continue helping others. Founded more than 25 years ago, the Harvest Regional Food Bank now serves 10 counties in northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas.

A partner with food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and schools, the Harvest Regional Food Bank helps children and families in so many ways. They distribute senior food boxes, have a pantry, and also offer mobile pantries to the community. By having one-day mobile pantries at various locations, the Harvest Regional Food Bank is able to provide food to families and seniors that might not otherwise be able to receive food.

After years of hosting backpack programs for elementary schools, Harvest Regional Food Bank now has a food pantry for junior high and high school students that allows them to take a grocery bag of food home for the weekends and school breaks.
