Habitat for Humanity in Texarkana is gearing up for its "Spring Build 2016."

The organization says the project is scheduled to begin Feb 20, 2016 and will  last about three months. The build site is 3001 Norris Cooley off South Robison Road. Habitat will be sending out email blasts with more specific details in the next few weeks.

Volunteers will be needed every Saturday from Feb 20 through mid May or until the build is complete. The work will be different each Saturday and the organization will send out a tentative schedule to those who sign up showing the focus of the work for each Saturday.

Volunteers may work a 8AM-noon or 1PM -5PM shift or come and stay all day. If you have a small group please let them know so organizers can schedule the group properly.

No experience is necessary for any of the work but if your group has a specific skill, let Habitat know and they will try to utilize that area of expertise.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. People with framing experience will be specifically needed on the last two Saturdays of February and the first two Saturdays in the month of March.

For more information or to volunteer you are urged to call (903) 832-1746.
