Get An Exclusive Sneak Peek Inside Texarkana’s Newest Nightspot
There is a new 'secret club' coming to Texarkana and we have your first look inside of this awesome new nightspot.
This new club has a great vibe and is the brainchild of David Peavey. David has been incredibly involved in the revitalization of downtown Texarkana. David had this to say about the new nighttime spot.
The inspiration for the speakeasy came from the way it looked when they first started work. The art deco style was showing in the original basement's look and they went with it. The goal is for you to feel like you went back in time. David said he wants 'people who walk through these doors to feel cooler than before they walked in.
Ok now for the pictures. This place has a feel like no other club or speakeasy you have ever seen.
A little sneak peek at the entry of the club. It is actually in a basement.
This is the front door to the speakeasy. It is a sign of the things to come once out enter this little trip back in time.
Once you are inside you are greeted by some local Texarkana history, and you get a little feel for this spot.
There is so much n this picture once you make your way into the club. From the multi-level seating to the steampunk feel of the decor and those copper pipes that help give you a sense of the different levels of the club. Notice that everyone has a great view of the stage so they can enjoy the Jazz and Blues artists that will be performing here. This picture is from the stage looking out on the club.
This is the view from one side of the club. Those chairs are suede and are as comfy as they look.
In this corner, there is a piano and you can see that the decor is definitely art deco and represents the 1920's.
On the wall beside the piano is some awesome art that has been painted by a local artist. These paintings will be offered for sale. Notice the original wall with the brick and original paint as well.
The art deco theme continues in this small conversation area. Every time I look at this picture I see new decorating details that I missed.
This is a quick look at the stage. You could sped a lot of time working out all of the little details in the backdrop of the stage.
In this view, you can see what the stage would look like when there is a performer on stage. The lighting is just one of the few 'modern' thins mixed in to give the club its charm.
This is the most unique element of the club. The bar has blue fluid that circulates just under the lear surface and I think this is one of the 'focal points of the entire club.
Everywhere you look there is something unique that just catches your eye. Not only is there a unique art piece there is some history of a famous silent film star highlighted on this wall.
This is one of the tables that feature some antique metal covered in resin.
Last and definitely not least is this pump that is a conversation piece in the club. I think the lighting is what really makes it stand out. Notice it has a wrench attached to give it a little 'extra'.
The soft opening of the club is scheduled for later this month.
