Free ‘Spring Rabies Clinic’ is This Saturday in Texarkana for Dogs and Cats
There will be a Free 'Spring Rabies Clinic' this Saturday in Texarkana, who's a good doggie?
The 'Spring Rabies Clinic' will take place this Saturday from 9 AM until 1 PM at the Ark-La-Tex Animal Clinic located at 3204 New Boston Road in Texarkana.
Free rabies shots will be available for the first 350 dogs and cats.
Plus you can Register your dog or cat for free if you live inside the Texarkana city limits. Micro-chipping and other vaccinations will also be available but for a discounted fee.
All dogs must be on a leash, all cats must be in a carrier.
According to the American Humane Association, the following are vaccinations are essential for your dog or cat.
Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus (DHPP). Commonly called the “distemper shot,” this combination vaccine actually protects against the four diseases in its full name.
Rabies. Rabies virus is fatal and all mammals, including humans, are susceptible to infection. Rabies vaccinations for dogs are required by law in most states.
