Free Lunch at Texas Roadhouse to Benefit Texarkana Humane Society
Texas Roadhouse is sponsoring a FREE lunch with a donation on Wednesday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A pulled pork sandwich, seasoned steak fries and a (non-alcoholic) beverage. All of the donations collected for the free lunch will go directly to the Texarkana Humane Society to benefit their spay and neuter program. Please come out and show your support for a great cause and enjoy a fabulous meal.
You can see the amazing animals that are available for adoption through the Texarkana Humane Society on their Facebook page.
The Texarkana Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to re-homing orphaned animals, promoting the human-animal bond, preventing animal cruelty, educating children and adults about responsible pet ownership, and preventing pet overpopulation. Like many other rescue groups, they are made up entirely of volunteers. I have worked with the Texarkana Humane Society for several years and have always found them to be very helpful. If you need assistance with spaying or neutering an animal, be sure to contact the humane society. Or if you are looking for a group to volunteer with the humane society is always looking for folks to help out. There are many different ways to volunteer with them.
The Texarkana Humane Society is at Petsmart the fourth Saturday of every month with animals available for adoption. They also have T-shirts available at the adoption events and fundraising events. The shirts are also available by mail. Send a check or money order made out to Texarkana Humane Society for $20 plus $3.50 for return postage to Jerry Ayers at 5909 Trinity Heights Drive, Texarkana, ARK 71854. Please remember to specify color and size. To see the shirts or to see any additional information about the Texarkana Humane Society visit their website.
