The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Damont Williams, 35, of Texarkana, Texas after drugs and a stolen motorcycle were discovered in his van late Tuesday night.

As reported on the TTPD Facebook page:

At 11:15 that night, a woman reported that a man in a white van in the 2700 block of Charlotte Street had just tried to get her to buy a dog from him. Given the late hour, she was suspicious and called 911. We found Williams alone in the parked van at that location. As the officers spoke to him, he became increasingly agitated and paranoid. At one point during the conversation, he suddenly jumped from the driver’s seat over to the passenger side seat and started yelling at them through the passenger window. At that point, officers could easily see what appeared to be a pipe typically used for smoking drugs sticking out of his pants pocket. Williams was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the pipe containing methamphetamine was collected as evidence.

Later as officers were processing the van for vehicle impound, a Honda Grom motorcycle was discovered in the cargo area and appeared to have been recently repainted. After a little police work it was found to be a stolen motorcycle from Texarkana, Arkansas. Officers then added a theft charge to Williams’ list of problems.

Williams was transported to the Bi-State Jail with charges of theft and drugs, upon arrival it was found that Williams had outstanding felony warrants for Failure to Appear on Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Failure to Appear on Possession of Controlled Substance. He was also wanted on a felony probation violation warrant for Breaking and Entering in Miller County, Arkansas. Bond was set at $5,000 on the drug charge and $10,000 for the theft charge, however, he is currently being held without bond on the remaining three charges from those warrants.
