Downtown Texarkana Bike Tours This Fall Include a Creepy Fun Tour
Temperatures are finally starting to cool down. Here's a great way to enjoy those temperatures and have a creepy good time in downtown Texarkana.
The Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department and Texarkana Museum System have teamed up again for the bicycle tours downtown this fall.
There will be three different themed bicycle tours in October and early November.
The bicycle tours will be held each Friday evening beginning at 5:30 PM and will run from Friday, October 14 to Friday, November 4.
Keith Beason, Community Engagement/Parks Project Manager stated in a press release;
“This season we have decided to repeat the past two tours and add a Halloween-themed tour.”
The Cycle Through History Tour Schedule includes:
- October 14th – Historic Buildings
- October 21st – Murder and Mayhem
- October 28th – Murder and Mayhem
- November 4th – Public Art
The Murder and Mayhem tours will be like a ghost walk but will be able to expand to a greater distance being on bikes.
The tours are free for people that bring their own bikes. Otherwise, there is a $5 bike rental fee at the Museum of Regional History. Each tour is limited to 10 people total per tour and only 5 bicycles will be available to rent.
The bike tours will begin at The Museum of Regional History located at 219 North Stateline Avenue in Texarkana, Texas. The tours will make several stops in both Texarkana, TX and Texarkana, AR. The tours will end at Pecan Point Microbrewery. Where the tour participants can socialize and enjoy provided appetizers.
