Bowie County is up to 37 cases total as of this report from Thursday afternoon, April 9.
3 cases are hospitalized at this time, 5 cases have recovered, 5 have died.

Miller County goes up to 19 total cases, 63 negative results, 2 recovered, 0 deaths.

Cass County is reporting 5 cases at this time with 2 of those recovered.

Bowie County Judge Bobby Howell has extended the Shelter in Place order for the county until at least April 30.

Bowie County has received an allocation of PPE from the Strategic National Stockpile. A team will be deployed to pick up the allocation from a distribution center in Tyler and the PPE will be distributed to first responders and healthcare workers as needed locally.

It is important during this time to remember the need for blood is not diminished.
