It's that time a year again for the CenterPoint Red River Balloon Rally June 11-12, in Shreveport-Bossier at the LSUS Campus, featuring more than 30 hot air balloons from the US Team Nationals competition.

The CenterPoint Energy Red River Balloon Rally is presented by the Louisiana Office of Tourism and this family-friendly event kicks off at 6 PM on June 11, with the Faith and Family Friday Night featuring a flight over the LSUS campus. Tethered balloon rides will be available from 6 PM - 11 PM (weather permitting) and a balloon glow at dusk. Then at 7:15 PM there will a Christian concert from former American Idol Christian artist Danny Gokey, followed by a fireworks show at 9:30 PM.

Then on Saturday get ready to have some fun with the Louisiana Saturday Night featuring another flight over the LSUS campus, tethered balloon rides, balloon glow at dusk, and live entertainment from Shreveport's Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs at 7:15 PM.

A fireworks show will begin after the concert at 9:30 PM followed by another concert from The Molly Ringwalds.

In addition, other festivities will include a sanctioned cornhole tournament, professional kite flying exhibition and the AEP Swepco kids zone.
