Cass County Felon/One of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted – Captured In East Texas
One of Texas Department of Public Safety's 10 Most Wanted, who also had four felony warrants in Cass County has been captured by DPS Officers in Longview following a traffic stop in December.
Christopher Wayne Davis II, 30, had several warrants for his arrest issued after parole violations last year. On May 5, 2021, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant. Then on May 26, 2021, the Cass County Sheriffs Office issued four felony warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Davis was captured December 6, 2021, in Longview, Texas. According to a report, while working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents coordinated with the Longview Police Department to conduct a traffic stop on Davis after he was seen leaving a business.
Back in 2016, Davis was convicted of two counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, he received probation for both counts. He got in trouble again in 2017 when he was convicted of Burglary of a Habitation and sentenced to 5 years of confinement. Additionally, his probation was revoked, and he was given two more 5-year sentences to be served concurrently in TDCJ. Davis was released on parole in May 2020.
Davis' last known address before being captured was in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Davis was captured due to investigative work, not through a tip, so the $7500 reward offered by the state will not be awarded this time.
