Arkansas Woman Claims $220,000 in the Natural State Jackpot
Marites Chambers of Garfield has claimed a $220,000 lottery prize with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center.
She bought the winning ticket for the Natural State Jackpot on July 28, 2023, at the Village Market in Garfield, Arkansas. The winning numbers were 7, 9, 10, 12 and 19. According to a press release, Chambers purchased one of the two winning tickets that were sold to split the $440,000 jackpot, which was also the second-largest jackpot in the game’s history.
The second winner bought their ticket at Kum & Go #402. in Lowell, Arkansas has yet to claim their $220,000 lottery prize.Winners have up to 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
“I have to protect this ticket,” was her first thought when she realized she had a winning ticket. “I was so excited that I couldn’t contain myself,” she told lottery officials.
Chambers is married and plans to use her winnings toward some much-needed home improvements, bills, and hopefully a mutual fund. Village Market will receive $2,200 in commission for selling the winning ticket.
The Natural State Jackpot an exclusive game to Arkansas has drawings Monday through Saturday at 8 p.m.
The Natural State Jackpot starts over at $50,000 if someone wins and then increases by $5,000 every drawing until it hits $150,000. After that, it grows by $10,000 for every drawing until it’s won such as the case.
