It was May 11th 1981 that the world lost Bob Marley to cancer. I don't know what it is about his music, but when I listen closely, and turn it up, really loud... Bob still makes a whole lot of  sense!

Bob Marley and the Wailers moved from Jamaica to London in 1972 hoping to bring the Rastafarian message to the world. Marley struggled a while until he recorded "Catch A Fire"... being the first time a reggae band had access to to a real recording studio...

A year later Marley recorded the album "Burnin'", with "I Shot The Sheriff", and "Get Up, Stand Up"...

Bob Marley was the first 3rd World "Super-Star"! He spent the next 10 years traveling the world and spreading his messages of Revolution, Love, and an appreciation for the Weed! (Lots and lots of weed.)

Bob was only 36 years old when he died...

He left behind 11 children, and a few of them are carrying on in their fathers footsteps...
