Arkansas the Natural State is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls and some of the weirdest names for waterfalls that actually sound dirty. But did you know these waterfalls are some of the prettiest and most popular waterfalls in the state?

Now is the best time to view some of the waterfalls with all the recent rain we've had in Arkansas.  Summer is the worst time because there is not much rain and the falls tend to dry up quickly so if you are feeling adventurous and want to explore this beautiful state now is the perfect time to do it.

Let me begin by telling you about three waterfalls with bizarre names that will have you saying, "That Sounds Like a Dirty Movie."

Glory Hole Falls

This is probably one of the most popular waterfalls located in the heavily wooded Ozark Mountain region, this 30-foot waterfall is very unique because the water flows down through a huge hole in the mountain down to the cavern grounds below.

This is perhaps one of the coolest waterfalls in the state and is certainly worth the hike to see up close. You can stand above it or go down to the canyon floor and stand in the waterfall if you prefer. Either way, be prepared to be mesmerized and bedazzled by this unique oddity of nature.

Furthermore, Glory Hole Falls is not a bad hike it's fairly moderate but there are some rocky areas you will have to navigate around, just make sure you wear a good pair of hiking boots and you should be just fine. The best part of this hike it's only a two-mile round trip once you arrive at Glory Hole Falls.

Six Finger Falls

This waterfall is located in the Richmond Creek Wilderness area about 200 yards from the highway so it's really easy to get to when you are hiking. The name Six Finger Falls comes from the six sections of falls in the rocky creek and during the peak rainy season, these falls are known to converge into one big waterfall.

The waterfalls are usually around ten feet tall on average and because of the various rock formations surrounding it, this waterfall is perfect for some great photographs.

Fuzzy Butt Falls

This one takes the cake in bizarre names for waterfalls, I'm not sure I want to know exactly how they came up with the name for this one. Fuzzy Butt Falls is located down a horse trail about 100 yards from Six Finger Falls and you will have to cross a creek so make sure you are wearing some waterproof hiking boots.

The 16-foot waterfall is in the Richland Creek Wilderness area too and is part of the Falling Water Creek. The area is typically muddy most of the time so make sure you are wearing the proper boots when exploring this beautiful area that flows down to a nearby box canyon.
