The Texas Department of Transportation is continuing its work on the construction of a new bridge over the Red River on U.S. Highway 259 in Northeast Texas.The old bridge on the highway, which connects travelers between Texas and Oklahoma, was damaged during the flooding along the Red River back in the late spring and early summer of this year.

Bowie County

US 259 – At Red River north of De Kalb, constructing new bridge.
IH 30 – From SH 8 to Anderson Creek, repairing pavement and installing new guard rails. Various lane closures.
US 82 – From IH 30 near New Boston to De Kalb, widening highway. Various lane closures.
FM 2253 – From IH 30 to US 82 at Leary, widening highway and overpass.
US 59 – From FM 2148 in Bowie County to FM 3129 in Cass County, converting pavement to concrete on the northbound lanes.  Traffic restricted to one lane each direction in the southbound lanes.

IH 30 – From Titus County Line to Bowie County Line, repairing pavement and installing new guard rails. Various lane closures.

IH 30 – From Franklin County Line to Morris County Line, repairing pavement and installing new guard rails. Various lane closures.
