Both Will Middlebrooks and Michael Wacha are back playing in the big leagues of baseball. The two had spent time in the minor leagues this summer, before the call back up over the weekend. Middlebrooks, who plays for the Boston Red Sox was sent down earlier in the spring after struggling at the plate  over the first couple of months of the season. Will was coming off a great rookie season last year that unfortunately ended in a season ending injury.

Meanwhile Wacha, who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals, had been called up to the majors earlier this season when an opening occurred in the Cardinals staff. Michael pitched pretty good for the Red Birds in that time, but was sent back down to work some more on his game.   He has been pitching consistently good with the St. Louis Triple A affiliate.

Middlebrooks played locally for Liberty-Eylau, while Wacha pitched for Pleasant Grove.
