Tanker Truck Accident Forces School Closing

An accident involving a gasoline tanker truck has forced the closing of the Liberty-Eylau Rock School Campus which houses kindergarten and 1st grade students. The rest of the district is in session as usual today

The Texas Department of Public Safety is working the accident which brought down a power pole and lines and spilt gasoline on Highway 59 and shut the highway down between Kings Highway and FM 2516. No word on extent of injuries to drive of big rig. Roads were wet at the time of the 5:20 am accident.
