K9 Retirement and Introduction to be Held by Texarkana Texas Police

The passing of the guard at Texas side police.Police k9 Ide is being given a deserved retirement. Authorities say IDE suffered a debilitating spinal injury which prevents him from performing the functions of a K9. He served the department gallantly for the past five years.

Meanwhile, officers will present their newest K9 Boston after the Police Officer’s Memorial Ceremony this Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center on the campus of Texas High School. Boston is a Shephard, Malinois mix and is 18 months old. The K9 has been through extensive training as is ready to enter service with the police department.
