You can make sure that your child's safety seat is properly installed and functioning as it should to keep your loved one safe.The Texas Department of Transportation and the Northeast Texas Traffic Safety Coalition is sponsoring the event which will be held this Friday June 27 at the Texas Travel Information Center in Texakana.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can have technicians look at the seats and give you helpful advice.  Statistics show 3 out of 4 children are not restrained properly.

Replacement car seats will be provided to participants with substandard safety seats for qualified Texas residents. Participants should bring proof of residency such as a utility bill and proof of government assistance such as WIC or Medicare card..
