Fantastic news for Texarkana.  We all love the fact that our Arts and Historic District is growing and it's bringing in visitors and economic growth for the Texarkana area. But a recent study shows it's making a big impact in the economy for Texarkana.

Harvest Regional Food Bank is once again sponsoring the Free Summer Feeding Program for kids in Southwest Arkansas and Bowie County in Northeast Texas.

Here's some great news for future tenants at TexAmericas Center in Texarkana. As we already know, they own and operate the 5th top-ranked industrial park in the United States just announced that it is launching a program that will improve its speed-to-market and speed-to-profit for companies that are interested in relocating to its 12,000-acre development.

Just off a 3 day weekend which included a couple of days in this report.  Last week's arrest numbers went up a little from the week before with 63 total arrests in Bowie County last week. Just a bit more, up from 59 the week before. Bowie County Deputies made 20 of those arrests, while other area law enforcement agencies brought in 43.

The Texas Legislature only convenes every other year and we continue to wonder if they shouldn't go ahead and do it every year because they never seem to finish things. Once again, the regular session ends and there are still significant matters that need to be taken care of right now. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a special session that will begin immediately.

There may be a few restaurants around the Great State of Texas that would want to argue that, but Café Texan is claiming the title of "Oldest Café," which may very well be true. Let's dig in...
