I love it when all of the best places in Texarkana get together in the same place at the same time, and it’s time again for The 20th Annual Taste of Texarkana! This years taste of the best places in town happens Tuesday October 18th, 2011 at the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center from 5pm-8pm. This the biggest fundraiser this year for Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank Inc.
September 16th to the 25th its the 67th Annual Four States Fair & Rodeo, and we thought we should put together a post on some of the scheduled events, and a few tips to help make sure your Fair & Rodeo experience is fun, exciting, and safe.
Did you go to RailFest Saturday? The festival took place in downtown Texarkana, and was full of live entertainment, food, a Kid Zone and of course the BBQ Cook-off.
Today was the first annual "Railfest" in downtown Texarkana. Me, and my buddy Fish entered the BBQ Rib Cookoff. We have won some awards with our cooking in the past, including the Blues and BBQ Festival a few years ago, but we didn't win this one. I think.
The Bulldog 100 is no more. I would be lying if I said we didn't see it coming, but still, it's a shame. We were very proud to have been a part of this event for all these years, and even more proud to have been associated with the fine people that started the whole show in the first place.
It's hard to tell from this story if the car thief is REALLY smooth... or if drunken Spring Break naps are REALLY intense. We're guessing it's some of both.
