The Allen House is located in Monticello, Arkansas and was built in 1906 by J. E. Allen. . The current owners' Mark and Rebecca Spencer bought the house in 2007 and they started to experience some strange things in the house.

The house has been featured on numerous paranormal shows including Ghost Brothers back in 2019. On the show, the Spencers talk about how they started seeing doppelgangers of themselves and their son in the house.  They also experienced furniture that would be rearranged and kitchen cabinets opening and closing. Some paranormal experts say those doppelganger sightings could actually be a spirit trying to make contact with the living.

Who is Haunting The Allen House?

The haunting is from J.E. Allen's middle daughter Ladell Allen and some say her son also haunts the house

The story of Ladell has a sad and tragic ending. Ladell was born in 1894. When she was 20 she married Boyd Randolph Bonner and they had a child, Allen. The marriage ended in 1927 and she found herself alone again. In 1945 her son died of pneumonia at the age of 28. Then just a few years later Ladell took her own life on Christmas Eve 1948.
