United Way of Greater Texarkana Virtual Campaign Kickoff Today

It's the big Campaign Kickoff for the United Way of Greater Texarkana on their Facebook page at 12-noon today, Thursday, September 10.

Both Texarkana city Mayors, Texas-side Mayor Bob Bruggeman and Arkansas-side Mayor Allen Brown, will be there to help kick off the campaign.

Mark Bledsoe with the United Way of Greater Texarkana said that our local chapter is down $100,000 this year in their fundraising because of COVID-19. The United Way of Greater Texarkana helps with 30 local organizations.

Even though there won't be a Live United Bowl this year there will be a golf tournament and a fish fry too.

If you normally go to the Live United Bowl you could always take that money that you would spend on a ticket and just donate that money now to United Way Texarkana through their website. You could even win a 55" 4K TV!  Make your donation at TexarkanaUnitedWay.org.
