Edward Furlong, the actor who's best known for portraying the teenage John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, was officially arrested this week on suspicion of domestic violence, and now he's officially unemployed. according sources close to Furlong Law enforcement officials say Furlong was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at Los Angeles International Airport. Sources SayFurlong had been planning to catch a flight to Detroit to film a new movie, entitled Misled.

Producer Scott Baldyga says the arrest not only caused Furlong to miss his flight, but the actor also missed wardrobe preparation and important rehearsals. Baldyga says Furlong's role is now being recast. Baldyga tells the gossip website, "I love Eddie. I think he's a great actor, but we are two days away from shooting and we have another guy to cast in his place. And we aren’t going to lose any sleep over this."

Furlong's reps had no comment on the matter. Last year, the 35-year-old actor had a restraining order placed against him amid claims that he threatened his ex-wife. In 2007, Furlong was arrested for public intoxication in Kentucky.
