The Average Cost of a Wedding Could Put You in The Poor House!

If you plan on getting married this year, you might want to take a deep breath cause it's gonna cost ya! A survey of average wedding costs was released yesterday and OMG!

TheKnot.com and WeddingChannel.com conducted their annual Real Weddings Study
They surveyed 17,500 couples and here is what they found, Dads get the smelling salts out just in case you pass out!

The average wedding cost $28,427 and that doesn't include the honeymoon!

I guess the good news is, the 2012 average isn't the highest. In 2008 the average wedding was $29,334!

Don't get married in New York City! It's the most expensive city to tie the knot! Last year  the average cost was $76,687.

Alaska had the lowest average wedding budget ($15,504).

Some specifics of the survey found that an average wedding cake was $540, venue was $12,905, wedding dress average cost was $1,211, rehearsal dinners cost $1,127, catering per head was $61.
