According to a press release, Officer Jesse Mathis and Rec. Kendall Nichols conducted a traffic stop related to the investigation by the task force and the passenger in the vehicle admitted to possibly having a small amount of marijuana on his person.  Officers further interviewed and identified the passenger, Andy McGough 54 years old, from Dequeen, Arkansas.  McGough later admitted to having more than marijuana and told officers he wanted “to be honest with them” because he had a ball of meth under the passenger seat of the vehicle.

Officers located a plastic bag under the seat with a ball of suspected methamphetamine inside the bag.  The ball weighed 57.2 grams. McGough was arrested for possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine and transported to the Miller County Jail awaiting a bail hearing.  The driver was released with no charges.
