Texarkana Police Search For Missing 17-Year-Old Girl

Texarkana Police are asking for the community's help in locating a missing 17-year-old girl. Saniya Jackson was brought to Texarkana on a group shopping trip with other children from the Elijah House. The home is an emergency shelter while children in foster care await a more long-term placement. According to the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department’s Facebook page, no one has heard from Saniya since her disappearance.

As far as we’ve been able to determine, she has not been heard from since she left. And that is not typical for most runaways. At this point, we are worried about her well-being.

Here's what we know about Saniya so far:

• She's 5'5'' tall
• She's approximately 120 pounds
• Was last seen wearing a red shirt and ripped blue jeans
• Hair is in long braids typically worn up in a ponytail
• She's from Dallas
• She has no relatives in Texarkana
