Texarkana Police and Sheriff's Deputies Search for Two County Esc

UPDATE: Both escapees have been located and according to reports, one is in custody the other is dead, both in Texarkana, Arkansas. It is reportedly an officer-involved shooting. We do not know which inmate is dead as of yet. The scene is located in the 200 block of East Street in Texarkana, Arkansas according to reports.

Monday, March 21, 2022 around 1:00 pm, there was an officer-involved shooting in the 200 block of East Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The Arkansas State Police were notified and are currently investigating the incident.

Texarkana Texas Police and the Bowie County Sheriff's Office are currently searching for two jail escapees. Have you seen these men?

A search is currently underway for two men who escaped early this morning, Michael Olson, and Wayde Land. The latest report says these two escaped from the Bowie County Jail Annex sometime after 1 AM this morning.

According to the Texarkana Texas Police Facebook Page;

Micahel Olson - escapee - TTPD

Michael Olson, 30, was being held on Felony Assault and a probation violation charge.

Wayde Land, 38, was jailed on charges of Burglary of a Building and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
