Traffic Holdup Out Of Texarkana I-30 Westbound? Construction

We have a listener report this morning about a major slowdown of traffic on I-30 Westbound around the Leary exit, construction has the lanes down to one lane getting through and traffic is backed up for a couple of miles according to the report.

So, what we do, when we can, is check the I-30 cameras provided by the Texas Department of Transportation and sure enough, there are some serious slowdowns occurring in that very area.

The photo above is the Nash exit on I-30 looking westbound, the traffic slowdown begins just after there.

The next camera shot shows the lanes are still down to one lane just before the Spur 74 exit.

This last photo is on I-30 almost to Hooks, and as you can see, the lanes are opened up and traffic is flowing normally at this point.

The total slowdown is approximately 3 miles before you can approach normal speeds once again.
