Texarkana Area COVID-19: By The Numbers – January 6

Bowie County reports 24 new cases bringing the total to 3126 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases, with 1 additional death since our last report for a total of 125. The Department of State Health Services is reporting an additional 1081 probable cases with a total of 3621 estimated recoveries.

Cass County added 7 new cases, for a total of 908, 433 probable cases with 1212 of those recovered, 64 active cases and 1 new death for a total of 51.

Miller County reports 2839 cumulative cases, 181 active cases, 2633 recovered cases and a total of 25 COVID-19 related deaths. (1/06/21)

Free testing is still being offered Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana- Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available at www.gogettested.com.
