TAPD Selects Officer Phillips for Criminal Investigation Division
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Corvette Phillips has been selected to be the newest addition to the Criminal Investigation Division, on the 'Crimes Against Persons' team.
According to a post on TAPD page on Facebook:
Detective Phillips is a graduate of Northeast Texas Police Academy and began his career in 2017 when he became part of the TAPD family. After joining TAPD, Detective Phillips went straight into the Field Training Program, where he excelled. Since joining TAPD, Detective Philips was assigned to the Patrol Division. He has worked several beats and different shifts, becoming familiar with high crime areas. Detective Phillips has spent his time in patrol being proactive and striving to keep our community safe. He has also spent time on several special assignments, including being a Crisis Intervention Team member. Detective Phillips is a regular participant in our PRIDE Academy, where he strives to set an example for our youth. In his spare time, he serves as a board member for the Police Association. The hard work and dedication performed by Detective Phillips have not gone unrecognized. In 2019, he was selected as Officer of the Quarter.
