David Coverdale will return to his time as lead singer for Deep Purple during their Mark III and IV eras for an upcoming album with Whitesnake.

Their career had never been so healthy, but changes were looming.

The veteran guitarist has left Whitesnake after 11 years.

A man claiming to be a drummer for Whitesnake was involved in a couple of incidents in Gloucester, Mass., last week. The man, whose name was not disclosed, was sent to a local hospital for evaluation.

Former members of Dio, Whitesnake and the Scorpions will take part in a four-day, two-city music event, with special shows focusing on the music of Cream and the Scorpions.

Like a drifter, he was born to release live Whitesnake records, so here he goes again: Just a little over two months after announcing Whitesnake's upcoming 'Made in Japan' concert LP, David Coverdale has revealed plans to follow it up with another one, 'Made in Britain.'

Whitesnake has packaged hits and outtakes, along with rare acoustic versions of popular songs on 'Made in Japan,' a live CD/DVD to be made available on April 23. The band announced that the Oct. 11, 2011 show from the Loud Park festival at the Saitama Super Arena will be packaged in its entirety. Previously fans could only see and hear highlights on Japanese television.

The ever-revolving lineup of Whitesnake has seen yet another change. Following the departure of drummer Brian Tichy earlier this month, the band has announced that his replacement is Tommy Aldrige, who will be making his third stint behind the skins.
