New Scholarship Established at UofA Hope-Texarkana
Dennis and Linda Ramsey, of Hope, Arkansas, recently donated $10,000 to establish the James Edward and Lillian Earline Berry Endowed Scholarship at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana.  The endowment was set up to honor the memory of the parents of Linda Ramsey and will provide financial assistance to a student pursuing a degree or certificate from UAHT.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) has added a new Associate of Arts degree in Social Work.  The program is designed as a 2+2 partnership program with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) in Texarkana.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana welcomed 1,421 students this semester.  This number represents a 6.3% increase over the previous year and the third highest spring enrollment in the history of the institution.  Enrollment at the UofA Texarkana campus increased by 45.8% over last year.

AEP-SWEPCO presented a $4,500 donation to the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Foundation on February 1.  The donation is used to provide annual AEP-SWEPCO nontraditional scholarships and to support the annual “Pulling” for Education Trap Shoot, Watermelon Festival Concert, and BBB Kids’ College fundraiser.

Introduction to Excel Community Class to be Held at UofA Hope
The University Of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Division Of Community Education will host an Introduction to Excel class beginning Tuesday, February 21, 2017, on the Hope campus.  The four-week course will be held each Tuesday night from 5:30PM to 7:30PM ending Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  The cost for the course is $75 per person.
