Texas Governor Greg Abbott delivered his semi-annual State of the State address Thursday night, February 16, 2023, in San Marcos, Texas before an enthusiastic crowd.

Governor Greg Abbott has released his "2022 Report to the People of Texas," it's a review of all things Texas over the last year and a look ahead to the Governor's vision of the state's future. This is Abbott's fourth Report to the People of Texas since assuming office in 2015. This report is not the same as the State of the State address, those are actually a speech given by the Governo

Governor Abbott Delivers 2021 State Of The State Address full transcript and video, the video was posted on YouTube from ABC KVUE out of Austin, Texas. The Texas Governor apparently deviated from the script several times so the script below may not match exactly what Governor Abbott said.

Governor Greg Abbott and Nexstar Inc. announced last week that Nexstar television stations across the state of Texas will carry a live telecast of Governor Abbott’s 2021 “State of the State” tonight starting at 7:00 pm. The speech will air locally on NBC 6 out of Shreveport.

As one can imagine, this is a pretty rough time to deliver a speech on the state of the State, but that's exactly what Governor Asa Hutchison did on Wednesday, April 8.
