Pleasant Grove ISD welcomes Chad Caldwell as its new Police Chief, set to assume duties on December 2, 2024.

Friday the 13th sure wasn't unlucky for one group from Texarkana as congratulations are in order for the Pleasant Grove High Cheerleaders who came in 2nd place in their division in the State of Texas UIL Championships.

Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Pleasant Grove Independent School District Teachers of the Year.

The Pleasant Grove ISD Board of Trustees met on Thursday, July 22 and approved Kristen Giles for the position of Pleasant Grove High School Principal. Giles is no newcomer to this district, she has been with PG for 27 years.

Once again Texarkana makes a name for itself. This time congratulations to both Texas High School and to Pleasant Grove High School. Both schools have been given a great honor as the Pleasant Grove Hawk Yearbook and the Texas High Tiger yearbook were both recently recognized as two of the Top 100 publications in the country by the National Scholastic Press Association.

Pleasant Grove High School students competed in a regional art exhibition and did extremely well.

During the Tuesday, May 11 regular session for Pleasant Grove Independent School District there were some big announcements made about new faculty coming to the school district. One from TISD and the other from LEISD

Pleasant Grove Elementary School sent an entire class home to quarantine after one of the students tested positive for COVID-19. The district found out about the positive case last Tuesday, August 25. At that point the class that the infected student was a part of was required to quarantine and attend school remotely for the time being...
