Maybe President Obama is hoping to sing his way into being re-elected this November, or could he be preparing a career change. Last night the POTUS was joined on stage by an all-star band that included Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Booker T. Jones. It took some talkin' to, but the President agreed to front the group, but only for a few bars of ‘Sweet Home Chicago.’

The song was the conclusion of the ‘In Performance at the White House: Red, White and Blues’ special that will air on PBS next Monday (Feb. 27) at 8PM (cst). Earlier Mr. Obama spoke about the importance of the music.

Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band were also on stage for the show closer. After waving off the microphone, the President finally took a hold of it and sang began the chorus of ‘Sweet Home Chicago’ before passing it back to King and exiting with his wife.
