Police Investigating Texarkana Arkansas-Side Shooting Wednesday Night
UPDATE:
Texarkana Arkansas Police updated the story Thursday afternoon that one arrest has been in the shooting that took place on March 30, in the 700 block of Artesian St in Texarkana, Arkansas.
TAPD reports that they made an arrest on Thursday at approximately 3:06 pm of one, Steven Heinrich Jr. from Texarkana, Texas. Heinrich was arrested and so far has been charged with two offenses, Unlawful Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle causing death or serious physical injury to another person, and Battery in the 1st Degree. Heinrich was transported to the Miller County Jail and booked in without incident.
The investigation is still ongoing.
ORIGINAL STORY
This morning Texarkana Arkansas Police are investigating a shooting on Artesian Street that happened around 9:30 PM on Wednesday, March 30.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police posted on their Facebook page this morning about a shooting that took place last night, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 around 9:37 PM in the 700 block of Artesian Street.
Upon arrival, TAPD discovered a shooting victim lying on the ground bleeding from what appeared to be several bullet wounds. The officers quickly began rendering aid to the gunshot victim until LifeNet arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. The victim is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Criminal Investigation Division Detectives were notified and began gathering evidence as soon as they arrived on the scene. According to Detectives, eyewitnesses have identified the suspects as three males driving a white Range Rover.
Detectives continue to investigate and interview witnesses however no arrests have been made in this crime as of this writing.
