Plan a Family Day Trip to Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary

Summer is not over yet, so if you are looking for something fun to do especially with the kids, check out Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary in Tyler, Texas.

This Saturday, July 27 is World Tiger and Lion Day and Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary will be celebrating from 10AM-3PM with food, games, a water slide, snow cones, and much more. According to their Facebook page, you can save money on admission too! Everyone who brings a whole watermelon will receive $5 off admission (limit one per person). You'll learn more about the big cats with informational sessions either at 10:30AM or 2:30PM. Why a watermelon? They say that the big cats love to play with them.

My husband and I went to Tiger Creek a couple of years ago and it is so amazing to see these big cats up close. So, believe me, it's not just for kids. Below is a video I took of Max. I was in total awe of this beauty and I think he knew it as he just lays there looking all majestic and all as I filmed him.
