Now, if you are like me you are probably wondering what is an Oh K-Dog. I'm here to tell you they specialize in a variety of Korean Rice Hot Dogs that are all the rave in Korea, for the longest time it was a popular street food but unlike a traditional American hot dog, it looks very similar to a corn dog.

They deep-fry it in one of their signature items until it's crispy golden brown and filled with a choice of mozzarella cheese, squid-ink, rice cake, potato, and more. Then it's up to you to have it sprinkled with sugar as I did for mine or one of many toppings. You can also add more flavor with their variety of sauces for which I went with the Gochu sauce that was spicey and tastefully delicious.

Oh K-Dog also serves a variety of tea, smoothies, and Expresso coffees. I topped my meal off with their classic Boba Milk Tea I'm not a big tea drinker but I loved it and for extra flavor, I added some bubbles.

Then I was curious about their Egg Toast sandwiches so I tried the ham, egg, and cheese toaster sandwich which was awesome. The bread was the fluffiest I have ever eaten and it was split halfway down and closed on the bottom for the stuffings.

"We have a special bread that is made and flown in from Korea to all our restaurants so that the customer can always be assured that it will be fresh when served," said, Owners Hong and Zoey.

Oh K-Dog is a locally-owned franchise business Hong was born in Korea but spent his time growing up in Pleasant Grove where he attended school, after returning to Korea he met Zoey and brought her back to Texas. When talking with this friendly couple I was inspired by their story and could tell they really put a lot of hard work and dedication into opening this business in Texarkana.
