New Arkansas Specialty License Plate is Beautiful and Stunning
The next time you go to the Arkansas DMV office you may notice that there is a new specialty license plate that is now available.
Buffalo River specialty license plates are now available and the license plates showcase a beautiful outdoor scene of Grinder's Ferry near St. Joe Arkansas. According to the Searcy County Chamber of Commerce, Jamie Craddock Johnson of the Buffalo River Art Gallery was the artist while Darryl Treat was the originator. The Buffalo River Community Development Corporation President Bob King also had a helping hand in making this project come to fruition. All three were the very first ones to receive the new specialty license plates. A lot of hard work and determination went into getting enough signatures to get this passed through legislation in order to get it approved for the state.
By the way, Jamie Craddock Johnson the local artist from the Buffalo River Art Gallery says she has a limited-number of signed prints available for purchase at the art gallery in Gilbert. See her Facebook page here.
If you happen to be an outdoor enthusiast and you've been to the Buffalo River region then you know just how beautiful the area really is with its mountain bluffs, caves, clear pristine waters, surrounded by the beauty of the Ozark forests and rolling hills. This license plate in my opinion reflects the simplicity and beauty of Arkansas, the natural state. Many Arkansans reflect their own personality when purchasing specialty plates. Nowadays there are plenty to choose from but I think the Buffalo River license plate is by far one of the prettiest thus far.
According to aymag.com, each license plate sold will generate $25 for the Buffalo River Community Development Corporation and the money raised will be used for economic growth in tourism for Searcy County and for helping promote the Buffalo River and the well being of its community.
For those who may not be familiar with the Buffalo River region take a look at this amazing video from the television CBS Sunday Morning TV show recently. The sights and sounds are incredible.
