On April 25, 1997, then 15-year-old Kristy Leigh Yates went to the mall in Hot Springs, Arkansas and she never returned home. According to the FBI report, she was brutally murdered and her body was dumped and eventually found on April 26 in northern Garland County, Arkansas.
The FBI wants you to know that the reward money offered for information in this cold case has recently been upped to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Kristy was last seen alive at the Hot Springs Mall on April 25, 1997, FBI investigators believe that the killer or killers responsible for her death may very well still reside in Arkansas.
