It's hard to imagine a case that's gone on as long as 25 years with no end, no conclusion, no closure for the surviving family members. That's a long time indeed, but that's almost how long it's been for this Cold Case File out of the FBI Office in Little Rock about a cold-blooded murder that happened in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1997. The FBI is now offering a $25,000 Reward for any information that could help solve this case. On April 25, 1997, then 15-year-old Kristy Leigh Yates went to the mall in Hot Springs, Arkansas and she never returned home. According to the FBI report, she was brutally murdered and her body was dumped and eventually found on April 26 in northern Garland County, Arkansas.

The FBI wants you to know that the reward money offered for information in this cold case has recently been upped to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Kristy was last seen alive at the Hot Springs Mall on April 25, 1997, FBI investigators believe that the killer or killers responsible for her death may very well still reside in Arkansas.
