Back on October 3 The Texarkana, Arkansas City Manager E. Jay Ellington made the special announcement that the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department had a new Chief of Police Michael Kramm. Now it's time to welcome him to Texarkana.

He's been on the job for a week so he's moved into his office and now you can meet him during a special meet and greet. The event will take place this Wednesday afternoon November 2 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Texarkana recreation Center also known as the Boys and Girls Club located at 1 Legion Drive in Texarkana, Arkansas.

This event will be in a come-and-go format. So stop by and meet our new Chief of Police and welcome him to town.

from an earlier press release, we found out that Chief Kramm has an impressive resume and brings an incredible amount of knowledge and experience with him.

Chief Kramm graduated from LeTourneau University. He has an MBA from the University of Houston Clear Lake and he is also a graduate of the FBI Academy.

Chief Kramm served in the United States Navy and began his law enforcement career at the League City Police Department. He held numerous positions in League City from patrol officer, and motorcycle officer to Field Training Officer and Field Training Coordinator. He was also the Special Operations Division Commander and a member of the SWAT Tactical Team. Then he went on to serve as the League City Police Chief and the Assistant City Manager for League City.

There is no doubt he will be an asset to our community.
