The 2022 Christmas Season “Believe in the Magic of Christmas," begins this weekend in Camden, Arkansas. It's time for a short road trip from Texarkana to get into the holiday spirit.

Today will mark the First Friday Market event, a holiday-themed edition of “Feeling Frosty.” Enjoy strolling downtown and looking at all the window displays or shop for that one-of-a-kind gift at one of the many shops. There will be food trucks galore complete with specialty foods like crepes, turkey legs, and more. Enjoy the sounds of the season with the Arkansas Brass Concert, a popular quintet made up of members of the Arkansas Symphony and South Arkansas Symphony. The free concert will be downtown with a section of a street closed and lined with tables for dining and entertainment or you can bring your own folding chair.

Moonlight Shopping Madness event where every purchase you make at participating businesses will enter you in a drawing for the grand prize. The “Muppet Christmas Carol” movie will also be shown in the Downtown park. With all the excitement of the evening don’t forget to stop by Southern Realty Group and get your picture with Santa. And just when you thought the night couldn’t get any better, head over to The XOXO Co. Open House and meet Miss Arkansas, Ebony Mitchell between 5 pm - 9 pm.

On Saturday, November 12, gather your friends for a unique Terrarium-making Party at Native Dog Brewing (125 Madison Ave SE) complete with hometown beer from 11 am to 2 pm.

On Sunday, November 13, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm experience the traditional Christmas Open House at this fun afternoon of shopping at Camden’s wonderful boutiques and shops located throughout other areas of town, each with great specials for your holiday shopping list.

The City of Camden has something for everyone this holiday season from shopping and great restaurants, and entertainment. Later this month, enjoy the many photo ops around town, drop your letters at Santa’s special mailbox, take a ride downtown on the Christmas Train, view the amazing entries in the Gingerbread House Competition, and so much more.
