Keeping Cool in The Summer in The ’70s [VIDEOS]

Yep, I grew up in the '70s and boy have times changed! Today kids are inside on their phones or iPads. But, when I was a kid, on a hot summer day you could find me and my friends playing in the back yard. I had a Water Wiggle and a friend of mine had a Slip 'N Slide.

How funny that in today's world those great outdoor toys are considered actually kind of dangerous.  Yeah, I got hurt. I don't know how many times that dang Water Wiggle hit me in the head or the hose it was screwed to would trip me up! But, Oh, it was fun!

The Slip 'n Slide was a blast too! Of course, I remember it not being as slippery as the commercial and I could never slide all the way down the thing. I remember slippin' and slidin' right off the thing. Aw, the good ol' days! Maybe that's why I love summer still to this day. I just had way to much fun in the summer.

I found these old commercials of the Water Wiggle and Slip 'n Slide. Man, these really bring back the memories!
