Southern Outlaw Exotic Pet Expo Set for July 11th-12th In Henderson

When you think of events coming to expo centers, you think of things like gun shows, concerts, comic cons, tattoo conventions, dog shows...things like that. At least, that's what comes to my mind. What I don't think of is pet expos. I definitely don't think of exotic pet expos. However, that's exactly what's coming to one East Texas town.

Southern Outlaw Exotic Pet Expo is Coming to Henderson Civic Center

On July 11th and 12th, the Southern Outlaw Exotic Pet Expo will be making its way to the Henderson Civic Center at 1500 Lake Forest Parkway. It's going to be open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 11th, and 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 12th.

Now, before we go too far off on this, I will admit that I've never heard of an "Exotic Animal Expo". I had to do a bit of research on it. Apparently, this is a place for you to get those hard-to-find animals. Yes, they'll have puppies, birds and more "normal" animals. However, they will have things like exotic reptiles, spiders, turtles and things like that. They will also have animal enclosures, plants and other animal supplies.

When it comes down to it, I guess I'm kind of boring when it comes to pets. I'm quite content with a dog. However, this event still sounds pretty awesome to me. Not only are they going to have some things for dogs, but the chance to get to see and interact with the actual exotic animals sounds pretty great, too - Plus, the price isn't too bad. Admission is only $10 per person, and kids 10 and under get in free.
