(KNUE-FM) In Texas it is a privilege to have the right to drive, but there are certain requirements that come with having that freedom. I want to help make sure you don’t get an unnecessary ticket from law enforcement or do anything that you might not realize is illegal in the Lone Star State.
Even if your vehicle doesn’t have a place for your front license plate, it is still your duty to make sure that it is displayed. Which made me think about other ways that you could possibly get ticketed for your license plates in Texas.

It might seem like a little thing but making sure your license plates are displayed correctly is important. This gives law enforcement a quick way of identifying a vehicle and potentially the driver or at least the owner of the vehicle.
I was once pulled over for not having a front license plate on the work vehicle I was driving; the officer gave me a warning to get it fixed, but I quickly learned how important it is to have your license plates on your vehicle.
