Study Shows Texas Workers Are Outperforming Louisiana Again
If the latest research is correct, Texans have proven again that they just work harder than Louisiana residents.

As they do each year, Wallethub has just released the results of research they conduct to determine the hardest working cities in America, and again this year, Texas just wailed on Louisiana.

To determine which were the hardest working cities in America, Wallethub used a number of key metrics including average work week hours, employment rate, share of workers leaving vacation time unused, work commute times and share of households where no adults work.
And what they found was a vast number of Texas cities were among the country's hardest working, while Louisiana again, only posted one city in the Top 100.
Results Show Cheyenne, Wyoming Is Hardest Working City In America
In the research piece, it was determined that Cheyenne, Wyoming was the hardest working city in America due to the facts that "It ranks highest for average workweek length, employees there average 40.7 hours a week. It also has the fifth-highest share of workers with multiple jobs."
However, if you isolate specific states, Texas is the nation's clear leader with one city (Irving) in the Top 5, and two more cities (Dallas and Austin) landing in the Top 10. And a total of thirteen Texas cities landed in the Top 100.
These Are The Texas Cities Considered To Be Some Of Hardest Working In America
Curiosity could be getting the better of you at this point as you wonder exactly which Texas cities made this list. Here they are in the order of their finish:

- Dallas - #7
- Austin - #10
- Fort Worth - #13
- Corpus Christi - #14
- Arlington - #15

How Did Louisiana's Work Ethic Rank In This Research?
And with this comes the rub. If Texas has thirteen of America's hardest working cities, how does Louisiana fare?
According to the metrics used for this piece, not very well. Louisiana only placed one city in the Top 100. New Orleans barely squeaked in at #100 and Baton Rouge gets an honorable mention with a 106th place finish.
So, truth be told, it would certainly appear that Texans really do work harder than Cajuns. Course, we party harder than they do, so that sort of makes us even.
