According to Forbes, they just released the latest 2024 data on billionaires living in the United States, this marks the second time they have released the findings since 2019. So, it's probably no secret if you guessed Jim Walton and family of the Walmart empire are now the wealthiest in the state with an estimated worth of 78.4 billion dollars that's up from 64.4 billion in 2023. Walton is the youngest son of the late Sam Walton founder of Walmart the world's largest retailer. he and other heirs of Sam Walton own about half of Walmart's stock.

There were a total of 54 billionaires in the United States that made the Forbes list including some names we are already used to hearing like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, and Warren Buffett, according to a report from KARK-TV.

What about Texas?

They say things are bigger in Texas Elon Musk, is still the biggest billionaire in the U.S. with a net worth of $195 billion.
