Traffic Stop Turns Into Foot Pursuit in Texarkana

Around 7:45 PM, Monday June 22, Texarkana Texas Police Officers Jacob Miramontes and Macy Huddle spotted a man driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on West 14th Street, who they knew was wanted on several felony warrants. When officers tried to pull him over for a traffic stop, the driver sped off and headed to a residence in the 1300 block of Pine Street.

TTPD posted on their Facebook page,

He immediately jumped out of the Tahoe and ran inside, with officers right behind him. Unfortunately, he managed to slam the door shut before they could get to there and used his body weight to hold it closed. He then dragged a refrigerator in front of the door and later added a sofa to his growing home improvement project.
Despite repeated commands to come outside, he decided he'd rather stay put.
